Redbank Mines Limited, formerly Burdekin Pacific Limited, is a Perth based copper and gold exploration company with projects located in the Northern Territory and Fiji.
Our five year association with Redbank Mines and Burdekin Pacific led them to entrust us with the development of their online presence. With a company logo and letterhead already developed and a sour taste left from the developers of their previous website, a fresh feeling and easily navigable website was created by our team.
This site is our first to extensively use the features of PHP 5, and is highly dependant on mySQL to hold data and many configuration settings throughout the site.
Aurox Resources Limited is a Western Australian mining company with projects in the West Pilbara and Yalgoo regions of Western Australia, headquartered in Subiaco, WA.
In early 2004 we were tasked to create their corporate website. The site had to provide information about their projects and company in an easy to read manner, and keep investors up to date with company news and announcements.
The website is quite simple in its design, but highly effective. Aurox had already developed a colour scheme and this was adapted to suite an online medium with great success. The design has proven flexible enough to add sections and content without the need to re-code key areas.
A modest backend exists to handle news announcements, coded in PHP. The lack of mySQL support on the web server meant that we had to code our own database so in this instance we used a flat file database.

Our first website debuted in April 2004, and after minor content changes it hadn't really changed until August 2005 when version 2 was published.
Despite this website being fully driven by PHP, the design along with the code was fairly simple. The design and layout also formed the template for the Higher Orbit Hardware website, and was very easy to work with.
As this website was developed while our company was being formed, the planning and implentation stages were rushed to production. While no bugs were found, a more in depth and helpful website was always on the mind of the company.
A comprehensive backend powers this site and allows control over many areas, including news management, content management, and payment processing.
The Burdekin Pacific website was created by another design team who no longer exist. The site is powered by ASP with an Oracle backend.
We were initally contacted around July 2003 to do several updates to the code, and to tidy the site up.
We continue to provide site updates, and as such have cleaned up the code considerably, removing around 20kb per page of in-line style declarations which should have been in a referenced file.
The previous developers left a pretty nasty mess, and several areas of the website were never finished. A fully functioning mailing list/newsletter were intended to be completed but never were.
Burdekin comissioned us to put together a draft of a new website design, and gave us free reign. The problems with the old website were that information was too hard to find and difficult to update and the new design remedied these problems. It gave the company a fresh looking website that wasn't down the straight and narrow like some corporate sites, along with reflecting the companies operations in Fiji.
This version of the website would be powered by PHP and mySQL, custom coded by us to Burdekin's specifications. It is not scheduled for development past this draft at the moment, but we'd like to see it go live one day.
Home Theatre by Design is a new company that designs, installs and configures home theatres.
The requirements for their website were:
Present our company philosophy and beliefs,
Display our services and previous jobs,
Keep it simple and neat.
The company had already printed several brochures, so we used the colour schemes already created and built the website to match. Higher Orbit is no longer maintaining the website, as the company now manages it in house.
Tyrekicker Australia asked us for a simple website to showcase their automotive performance clothing and accessories.
The original design put forward by the Tyrekicker management would have worked well in a magazine or brochure, but the web is an entirely different medium. A similar but more flexible design was created and featured rotating photographs of Tyrekicker models amongst the pages.
Sadly the Tyrekicker management have put the company on a hiatus, and as such the website is down. We have a screenshot of the site available though - just click the thumbnail on the left.
We were contacted by Sam to create his personal website, detailing his successful DJ and modelling career.
The site is fairly simple and was created in under a week.
The site contains a photo gallery, downloadable mp3 demo tracks, and general information about Sam and his DJ history.
In 2004, Sam was a contestant on the Seven Network's reality TV show Playing it Straight, and has performed alongside major names and acts such as Roger Sanchez, Paul Oakenfold, Brian (b.t.) Transeau, Andy Vann, Pee Wee Ferris, Groove Terminator and Jumping Jack.
